Job Description:
mPower is in search of a Machine Learning Engineer to become a part of our Research & Development team. We are looking for a candidate with industry expertise in tackling a variety of challenges. In this role, you will leverage your experience to contribute to an exciting solution encompassing health, agriculture, and e-Learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend projects related to NLP, Recommender Systems, and Predictive modelling
- Develop prototypes and production ready code in Python.
- Fine-tuning and inferring from state-of-the-art Large Language Models
- Train, monitor, analyze and fine tune existing models to improve performance.
- Apply data processing and feature engineering techniques using NumPy, pandas and similar libraries.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or similar field
- 2 years of ML engineering experience (academic and/or industry) preferred
- Hands-on/research experience with LLMs preferred
- Expertise with Python Data and Machine Learning libraries
- Moderate experience with LLMs and RAG pipelines
- Comfortable in handling large amount of data and running ML algorithms on them
- Basic understanding of XAI
- Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets

Job Description:
mPower Social Enterprises Ltd. mostly deals with clients from Government and Non-Government Organizations. During the project life-cycle, regular monitoring of deliverables from different stakeholders within deadlines is absolutely necessary. We are looking for someone who will take complete ownership of his/her projects from initiation to closure.
Job Responsibility:
- Stakeholder Management:
- Earning client’s confidence through proper communication and quality delivery within deadlines.
- Assigning tasks with proper deadlines and in an effective manner with a clear concept of what needs to be done.
- Regular communication with functional teams regarding the progress of assigned tasks.
- Raising flags for potential delays along with the options for resolution.
- Project Execution:
- Planning, documenting and executing all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope management, requirements management, work breakdown structure and timeline management, priority and dependency management, and the assignment of roles and responsibilities to the project team.
- Regularly updating and maintaining JIRA for all project operations and optimal resource utilization.
- Assuring proper handover of projects from sales team.
- Preparing, updating and maintaining roll-out plans, resource allocation plans and budgets regularly.
- Communicating precise scope of work to different functional teams (Development, SQA, Solution Design, Training, Finance etc.).
- Completing projects within budget and timeline.
- Maintaining all project documentation.
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
- Preparing Inception Report, Project Learning Document and other project monitoring reports.
- Assuring adherence to standard processes and raising concerns for any and all deviations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ ICT related subjects/ Business Administration/ Development Studies or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university.
- Having an MPH/MDS/MBA degree will be considered as an added advantage.
- Candidates having PMP certification will be preferred.
- 3+ years of work experience in ICT/Software project management.
- Prior experience in Government/NGO project management will be treated as an advantage.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Advanced communication skills to do effective and goal-oriented project management.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with clients and internal teams to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Assess crisis situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
- Ability to perform logic driven negotiations with project stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making capabilities based on the available information
- Keen observation skills with attention towards details to identify different issues of existing projects and coming up with optimal solutions.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to Pick up new skills and processes quickly and rigorously.
- Managing and working cooperatively with all relevant project stakeholders in a tactful and effective manner to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate development activities.
- Design and implement scalable and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Design, develop and execute development tasks.
- Explore new technologies.
- To contribute to both backend (Java) and frontend (ReactJs, Angular).
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback and mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or similar field from a reputed university.
- 0-1 years of experience in web development.
- Expertise in Java Spring framework (both MVC and Spring boot).

- Expertise in AngularJS and ReactJs.
- Experience in developing high quality ReactJS web apps. Solid understanding of concepts like ReactJS life-cycle, hooks etc.
- Experience with writing reusable React components and know how to layout with CSS.
- Experience with state management libraries (preferably Redux).
- Experience of using development tools like nvm, npm/yarn, webpack, Babel.
- Experience of working with Git on projects with medium to large periphery.
- Experience with NodeJS and Typescript is a plus.
- Experience with linting libraries like ESLint is a plus.
- Knowledge on hibernate, JPA.
- Basic knowledge on JavaScript and related libraries.
- Strong knowledge on javascript.
- Good knowledge on version control.
