mPower empowers young tech enthusiasts at Digital World 2017 DECEMBER 10, 2018

Digital World 2017 was the biggest ICT exposition held in Bangladesh’s history. The 4-day long event hosted at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) drew in an overwhelming crowd of over 50,000 people, most of whom were youths.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the mega event, where over 300 organizations, including mPower, had a total of 502 stalls for visitors who were enthusiastic to learn about the latest digital technologies and innovation in Bangladesh’s ICT sector.

Nearly 50 seminars and conferences were also held as a part of the fair focusing on different aspects of the country’s ICT sector.

Hasib Ahsan, director of e-agriculture at mPower, presented on the role of precision agriculture in Bangladesh at a seminar session on Agriculture titled ‘Smart Agriculture, Smart Future.’ The presentation engaged a large audience in conversation about the role of ICT in the Agricultural sector.

The exposition was organized by the ICT division in collaboration with Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Bangladesh Computer Council and access to Information (a2i) program of the Prime Minister’s Office.
